Thanks all for the wonderful feedback, and to 64G for the advise on exporting garage band tracks from the Ipad to the BR

Quote from: Gnasty on April 10, 2013, 04:41:06 PMThe choir was a perfect addition but I'm just wondering how you recorded it. How did they hear and know when to come in?

Eric, I placed the Micro BR on a table and got everyone to gather around it to sing into it via the built in mic. I had a small amp lined out from the BR at a low volume so everyone could hear the track playing whilst they sang . The only downside to that is that you do obviously hear the track playing on the choir vocal track, but once this was mixed in it wasn't noticeable at all and I kept only the bare bones of the track playing to try and keep this to a minimum. The heavier guitars you hear at the end and the piano were added afterwards.

One of the best songs I've heard on songcrafters, first class, the choir section is sublime! Well done!  9{}

Yes this is great. When I read the description of the choir I was thinking it could have been done better, but after hearing it... you've done a damn fine job of it. Very well done.

Thanks for the additional comments.

I received a PM recently from Kenny Mac who had some ideas for some further vocal and musical additions to the song. Kenny e-mailed me the finished version tonight, and both Sasha and I love it.

So thank you once again Kenny for adding your magic to this, and here is "Deviant Stars" featuring Kenny Mac...

This was indeed a pleasure for me to work with Andrew and sasha on such a great song,it was one of those songs that gripped me from the 1st line.
A great piece of music from Andrew for me to work with and a great honour to sing with sasha.
