Ive been working on this one for a while now, had some life crap sneak up on me last week so this got put off a little longer than I had hoped. Quite a quirky piece in my opinion, all done with real instruments except for the cymbals which are thumbjam.
1 uke
1 bass
1 minty/keys drums
1 ukussion
1 guiro (chorus) & chime (bridge)
1 tambourine
1 vibra slap
1 cymals (TJ)
1 lead vocal
1 psychedelic vocal (bridge)

Attack Of Heart
written & performed by Hook
I remember once upon a time
When your love was mine
Just a memory stored
In the back of my mind

Face to face
Like back to back
Casualties of a
Heart attack

I need a center
With energy for me to draw on
An understanding of who I am
& where I'm from

Dressed up in white
Or draped in black
Casualties of this
Heart attack

Face to face
Like back to back
Casualties of a
Heart attack

Because the Hook brings you back
I ain't tellin' you no lie
The hook brings you back
On that you can rely

Loved it, Hook - you've set up a solid groove here, and all the attention paid to the little details really draw the listener in. The interplay between uke, bass, and percussion is locked-in and catchy, and your vocals hover over it all in somewhat detached fashion. The psychedelic feel is strong, and that's a good thing. :)

I hear yah about life sneaking up on you - it has a nasty little habit of doing that at the least opportune times. Best thing for it - keep on rocking.

This is it man, the full on goods, the total Hook package........right here.  There is too much to get into other than to just enjoy the Hook groove.  I love the jazzy laid back vocal, its a little contrast against the slightly frantic instrumentation.  Its got me.  My favorite Hook creation at this point in time.  Good one.
