Yep, this is sheer class. Sounds incredible. And something that only the Great cuthberto could pull off. Masterly.

Outstanding my brother (& sister)! This isn't and easy tune to pull off and you have done it masterfully. It all blends so very well and creates a very fine listen!

Test, test, one, two, three.....is this mic on?

cuthbert

Wow - thanks a bunch, gang!

This genre is a bit of a stretch for me, but I like the song very much and just love missX's vocals on it - so rich and professional. I was worried the song key may have been a bit on the low end for me, but I did end up kind of liking the grit that came out trying to hit the notes - and so I also appreciate the nice feedback on my vox, and how we blended together as a duet. I hope to do more songs with her soon.

Quote from: oldrottenhead on March 18, 2013, 12:59:47 PMwho is miss x?

A very talented singer/songwriter on SoundCloud. I'm a big fan.  :)

Quote from: 64Guitars on March 18, 2013, 12:33:46 PM...I converted it to MP3 at 256 kbps and attached it to your message. I hope that's okay.

Totally okay...thank you for adding it to Yulefest and converting it to mp3, 64G!

Quote from: 64Guitars on March 18, 2013, 12:49:29 PMI didn't know what a Martinet was so I looked it up...Oh, wait. I see what's happened. You made a typo. You probably meant Ondes Martenot.

D'oh! Yes, I meant Martenot. I think I got zapped by the auto-correct while typing and just didn't notice it at the time.  :D  I'll fix that now...

Thanks again, folks.  Snow is falling here today and is supposed to continue through tomorrow...maybe up to 20 inches altogether, over the two days? We'll see...  :D

Glad I found this!! I was just doing my nightly routine, where I usually check my facebook and click on a few posts on this site while my wife puts our baby to bed...I have on headphones so I don't disturb the little one...Wow this sounded so good! Very professional sounding recording...really appreciate that. I've loved this song since the movie "Elf" came out...Nicely done!
