Hi,

I don't know if someone else has already done such a thread on SC...anyway, the idea is to share web sites that are (or could be) useful for us.

The first two coming to my mind are:

Wikifonia

http://wikifonia.org/

with lots and lots of scores, freely downloadable as .pdf files

and, for those who love jazz (I am one of these...)

RealBook Site:

http://www.realbooksite.com/

this one is very useful because, apart the score in RealBook style, at the top of the page there's for each song the possibility to listen to the music. This way following the score while listening to the music is much more easier...

Enjoy!  :)

thanks Alfredo, all this sounds great.

the only site I've got mind right now isn't useful at all. You will waist lots of time laughing instead of playing music, so don't visit guitar fail : http://www.guitarfail.com/

For guitarists:

http://jguitar.com/chordname - In order to know what that weird chord is you are using

http://www.chordbook.com/guitarchords.php  -  In order to see a common fingering of a chord.

http://www.all-guitar-chords.com/  -  Also to see the fingering of a chord.

For everyone:

http://chord-progression-generator.com/#endless:G:sharp:maj  - Songwriting tool. Chord progression generator.

http://www.all8.com/tools/bpm.htm  - To tap out the bpm of a song or clip. (I know 64s has worked on something as well)

http://tapeop.com/  - For interviews with engineers and producers as well as gear reviews etc.

http://muse.dillfrog.com/sound/search?match_type=any_rhyme&group_by=syllable_count&word_type=&word=&familiar_only=Y&defined_only=Y&pb=!   - A kind of weird rhyme tool in the results it gives sometimes, but it's cool nonetheless.

http://muse.fawm.org/  - Idea generators for songs. Writers Block breakers, as it were. Title generator, plot line generator, structure generator and something else.
