How do I import an MP3 to a track so I can add a Guitar track to it?

I was able to import a backing track MP3 into the MBR by dragging and dropping into the MP3 folder but how do I get that MP3 onto a track so I can lay down some Guitar tracks over it? The manual isn't giving me a very understandable explanation. Any help would be much appriciated... Thanks in advance!!!

thats to import to a trk-there you chose what trk and vtrk it will import to
