Real nice lyric, playing and singing on this relaxing song! I hear a little Beatles influence (well maybe just Paul) but that's all good by me. One of the hardest things to do when recording acoustics with an open mic is to sit completely motionless during the rests and fades to keep from picking up those finger squeaks, chair creaks, and other room noises. It seems the smallest noises will get picked up by sensitive condenser mics.

On the 20 seconds of intro silence: 64 Guitars has an excellent tutorial here on using the free Audacity program to clean up beginnings and endings with ease. It's well worth the read.

A great song and I enjoyed it immensely!
