My Saviour (Lyrics)
She was my saviour
she was my queen and i loved her
yeah
but she broke my heart and she burn me
she burned down my home
i lost everything i own
i trusted
i bore my heart to that girl
i thought she loved me
i thought she loved me, how absurd
I rode many a mile many a mile, to get home to her
but she didn't love me, no
she didn't want my love she threw it back
Gotta run, gotta hide, gotta get away gotta find some where to feel this pain
the days are long the nights are longer
i'm in pain
i'm in pain
i'm in pain
we had a truth
now i just feel in pain
trusted her with my best friend, my best friend and my name
what did she do
what did she do
what did she do
she threw it back in my face and held me to blame
held me to blame
She was my saviour
she was my queen and i loved her
she broke my heart, she burned it up
she burned it down
burned my home down
she walked away she walked away and held me to blame

Ted

Raw and authentic! Like a missing track from the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack.

I wonder how many of us long-time Songcrafters have chronicled the ups and downs of their lives in songs posted to this site with small facets like this one. I know that I have. I don't know that anyone ever pays attention, or pieces the stories together. I imagine that most people take each song as a stand-alone, and move on to the next song. It might be an interesting post to start in the General Discussion board – paste links to several songs here that show chapters of our lives. Maybe we'd get to know each other better. (Maybe some of us don't want that.)

On the other hand, this song of yours may be entirely fictional. If it is, you fooled me.

Amazing vocals, very emotional, and artistic.
You are an artist, and I love this recording.
Agree with Ted, raw and authentic.
Thanks for this.
