Warning: 8'17'' !!!!

The first song I heard from Elton John was "Nikita". Despite my early age, I did manage to get the mental note to not  pay much attention to him. "Candle in the wind", was a confirmation, and "Crocodile Rock" was "the exception that confirms the rule".

Some months (year?) ago, I was casually watching a trailer of the movie "moonlight mile" and I was in awe with the last music. It took me a while to understand with was EJ's and it took me even more time to accept EJ could write superb songs.

"Someone saved my life tonight" was release in 1975 (a very good year  ;D) with the album "Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy".

I was inspired with the amazing live version in Central Park:

It is worth watching. A lot more than my version... It took me a while to put everything together with Reaper. All the keys (and drums) were recorded in midi, and I used a couple of VST (yep, there's a mellotron, with strings + choir + 2 pianos + 1 e-piano).
There is also a bass, and 2 guitars (lead (with a auto-wah) and rhythm).
Finally there's dss' main voice with 2 backing vocals, also dss, but with some crazy pitch correction and pitch shifting (free VST - "Kerovee"). Honestly, quite a beast to handle, and I should probably try to sing better instead of using all these electronics...

So... nevermind the bollocks, here's dasilvasings
