why is it when you have a really good dream 5 minutes after having it, you forget it all. i've written entire books in my dreams only to forget them in the morning.

a quite extraordinary dream
in that there wasn't very much happening
i closed my eyes but could not see
the colours, tastes and sounds
that i felt yesterday
yesterday
yesterday
i awoke with no memory
of my adventures in the world of dream
and i was talking in my sleep
you said it didn't sound like me
what was i dreaming
it all seemed oh so clear
only 5 minutes ago or so
what was i dreaming
it was all so lucid and real
but now it's gone
i've only just woke up
and now it's gone

I think the only thing worst then not remembering a dream, is almost remembering.
Its right on the tip of your tough, right at the edge of your memory but it's like a puzzle you can't unscramble.
