Nice interpretation of a Gabriel classic, I loved his early albums, nice to hear this song again.

Well done that man with the rotten head    8)

i listened to this a few days ago and it stayed with me. so impressed by your cover. i love the original and the placxe itself, just to the north of bath..i can picture it as i listen. absolutely lovely orh.
i know i'm only a temp member but i wanted to post a few comments. hope greeny doesn't mind! ;

Oldrottenhead

cheers scratchy.

i spent a week or so down in bath in the mid eighties and in my honest opinion it is one of the most beautiful places i've ever been, if i had known solsbury hill was nearby  i'd have gone like a shot. i'm sure tim will be delighted that you are participating, any grief from him and tell him his uncle jim will be "doon tae sort him oot!"

Have you heard the Lou Reed version of this. I'm still not sure about it.

bazz-t-bass

Hi Jimbo..........this is a truly remarkable version as it completely alters the feel of this song without in the slightest losing the character.

I have to say this is the first time I've ever listened to the lyrics.

just heard it on youtube and i thought was gonna be a version of biko. not sure about lou's version at all, probably needs a few listens, but i have had my worries about him since he got together with metallica.

looking forward to the album of pg covers, heard paul simon's version of biko and that is awesome, looking forward to hearing brian eno do mother of violence.
