Absolutely hilarious and unfortunately so true, listen to any T-Pain tune. I remember Jessica Simpson's first reality show (the start of all this reality TV crap), they showed her going into the studio for about 20 min. Singing one take (we could hear it and it wasn't great) and the engineers response to her was "we got what we needed". I thought it was interesting and soon after I started to notice the vocal correction on all sorts of singers, some who needed it and some who shouldn't have. I wish someone would fix my voice and make me successful!

Awesomely funny, but so true!

They had recently a kids "talent" show on Canadian television and performed the finale live.

Out of 6 finalists, only 1 came even remotely close to singing on key. I was watching it with my daughter, and I couldn't believe it. Made me very sad as a matter of fact.

I saw that one a while ago and thought about posting it but didn't get around to it. It's very funny, but technically misleading. What does franticly turning knobs on the mixing desk have to do with pitch correction? It wouldn't be done while the track's being recorded anyway. It would be done later in the mixing/editing sessions.
