I saw a swan breaking through the ice the other day ...

yesterday I made the music to this song .... added the electric guitar and vocals today.
The Icebreaking swan
w/m: Geir
Morgan acoustic guitar, Ibanez bass, squire electric guitar, egg shaker, homemade double Pringles shaker/rainstick, mellotron and flute from ThumbJam. All recorded on boss br800 with behringer b2 pro for acoustics and vocals
The Icebreaking swan

One white swan, breaking the ice
Two lonely people, tears in their eyes
Three sides to every story

One broken promise, tears them apart
Two frontiers, the horizon so far
Three sides to every story

Like. Like a lot.

By the end I'm thinking Jethro Tull. But when I go back to listen again I don't get that at all until after the vocal. It's probably just the flute and the lead guitar tone! Makes me want to dig out the JT CDs though (which is probably not a bad idea - the songs I'm working here on were all written when I was listening to not much else... might explain to me how to sing the bluddy things!!).

Excellent track - glad I didn't completely stop you yesterday! :D

Is just a piece of paper
To say a few lines
Make up my mind

Absolutely fabulous, I love the mellotron sections, as always a fantastic production and expertly played.

This is truly amazing and sorta like an original i`m working on. The vocals are extremely brilliant. That electric behind the acoustic is just geniusly done.
