Hi,I wonder if anyone can put me on the right track (no pun intended ) i recently bought a micro BR and it says in the manual that recording in stereo makes the insert effects sound better than mono recording, if so why , also if you record on the four main tracks only , do you bounce them together or just master them as they are, many thanks for an exellent and very helpfull site, ( just listened to quite a few of the bunkbeds songs and well impressed with them-----Berti

Hello there Berti and welcome my friend, I'm glad you like the site!

In a recent topic, here I found out that only the delay effect (DLY) sounds better with stereo. All the other effects aren't changed. There are instruments that sound better in stereo, like drums and keyboards. Read the topic for more information.

After I finish my song I master it and export to MP3. I master it only so I do not have to encode in Mp3 later and because I like an extra loudness (see loud nesswars) on my recordings. What do you usually do? Bouncing to stereo and then export the tracks using BR Wave converter?
