This is a sanctioned cover/collaboration of sorts of a couple of Soundclick artists....Brian Ralston wrote the music and melody. Nigel Potter did the lyric. I did the lead/harmony vocals, harmonica, and the lead solo. I also mastered the song.

It's sort of a dark, moody song with deep lyric.....maybe a little Floyd-ish sounding in spots? It was fun working with these guys. This is what you get when you combine an Englishman (Nigel), an Aussie (Brian), and a Yank (Farrell). Enjoy!

I knew this was going to be good from the opening bar ....

Now, every now and again on this site, someone knocks on the doors of professionally recorded music - this one is in that category. Everything sounds right and sounds balanced - top notch recording, great song and great atmosphere.

I think we live in changing times, I was fearful of the future of music with the general crap that passes for music these days, however I realise now that the future of the music industry is in question, not music itself. There will be a day when the music industry will be irrelevant, people will produce and distribute their own music - same with news and blogs. We live in changing times ...

Great song Farrell, top quality - and ICPTHE (I cannot praise this highly enough)  !

Wow a big THANK YOU to Robbie, Haylie, Hook, Jarle, Bruno, and Geir!

Once in a while with this home recording process everything just comes together and the results we constantly strive for fall into place. I've made my notes in hopes of duplicating this process. But I've made many notes in all the years I've been doing this and sometimes I can replicate them and sometimes not.......that's the challenge which keeps me coming back and moving forward.
