* I had some for the first time 2 weeks ago in Edinburgh, with some trepidation. But I loved it. There again, black pudding is pretty much my favourite food so it's in the same sort of ballpark.

at school we had students from sweden over on an exchange trip. and the school organised a trip to ben cruachan to visit the hydro electric plant and doi some climbing/hill walking. we had the swedes crawling through all sorts of shit, telling them that if the wanted to see haggis they shouldn't walk upright. lol.

i hated haggis as a kid. but have recently grown fond of it. the other night i cooked blamoral chicken. which is a chicken fillet stuffed with haggis with a whisky and peppercorn sauce poured over it.

Oh haggis is wonderful. The proper ones you can get only in a Scottish butchers. The ultimate comfort food, I love the stuff. When I was based in Newlyn, there was a large Scots gang, 'cos of the fishing trade. Whenever one of 'em went 'home', they'd come back with boxes of the things. So the lads would pay their taxi fares in haggis.

    Haggis fishcakes.*
    Haggis pizza.*
    Haggis burgers.
    Roast Haggis.
    etc etc etc.

          *works equally as well with Black Pudding. Fucking yum yum.

I`ve never tried haggis but i`ll try anything once.

There is a supposed chicken wing shortage in North America for the upcoming Superbowl. Red Alert! I guess there will  more burgers served with Krispy Kreme donuts as the buns.

Maybe the U.S needs to lift the ban on the haggis and serve some deep fried lung. It`s probably better for fat bastards anyway.
