I noticed that too. I haven't tried it yet but the improved resampling sounds promising.

Several of the new features and bug fixes are to do with the Time Track feature. I'd never noticed that feature before but it's already in the version I'm currently using (2.0.0). I must play around with it sometime. It looks interesting.

What Time Tracks do is allow you to non-destructively change the speed of one or more tracks. For example, in the following screenshot, the audio track pair at the bottom will start playing at double speed for about the first 45 seconds, then gradually slow down to half speed over the next 15 seconds, and gradually increase to just slightly faster than normal over the next minute and 12 seconds (from 1:00 to about 2:12).

The actual audio track isn't changed at all; just the playback of it. It does, however, change the pitch of the playback along with the speed. So that limits its usefulness for adjusting the timing of tracks that don't quite line up. But it could be useful as an effect, especially on spoken vocals (Hendrix's "EXP" from Axis: Bold as Love comes to mind).
