Jerry Livingston and Paul Francis Webster took the melody from an old English folk song, The Riddle Song, and wrote their own lyrics and added a bridge and it became, The Twelfth of Never. Donny Osmond covered it in 1973 (I was 8 yrs old).

I love both songs :)
