Yesterday morning, when I biked home from the night shift here was -25°C (-13°F). Biking is pretty hard in that temperature because lubricants in the bearings doesn't work anymore...

Mmmmhhh...no, absolutely no snow here in Palermo...yes, a little cold (10-12°C), some rain, some wind....

Snow in Palermo is a rather uncommon thing, it happens once every 10-15 years or so...

It's so unusual that even the great John Renbourn composed a tune called "Palermo Snow", and his last CD has the same name:

...this because when he came here for one of his concerts, it was the end of the Eighties (I was there!), there was some "light" (compared to what I see now on this thread) snow, something anyway absolutely new for many Palermo inhabitants, and John was amazed looking at their surprised face: he told me about the story of the tune, in an interview he gave me some years ago for a monthly music magazine I was writing for...
