I did end up replaying the bass track. Gave it a bit more "drive". And trash-canned a few unneeded notes in the lead guitar track.

I don't know the original, but this sounds SOOOO good. Such sweet guitar tones and a really fantastic groove. Outstanding vocal too. Incredible talent flying around on this one!
