Genuinely upset by this.
Wilko is a truly great, uniquely styled guitarist, and has been for many, many years.
To trump that he always seems a truly amiable character. He really doesn't deserve the hand he's been dealt.

I had the pleasure of seeing him perform with Norman Watt-Roy last year, supporting The Stranglers, and can quite honestly say he stole the show.

Very, very sad news.

Me gutted too.  First I've heard if it.  I saw Wilko at least 15 times from mid eighties through end of the nineties.  First time i saw him (Band on the Wall in Manchester 86) was the reason I bought my Telecaster.  He and Norman Watt-Roy are masters of their craft.  Had hoped to catch them again sometime, maybe not now.  Sad.

A one-off original and an incredible influence on a lot of people. Very sad news indeed. There was a big interview with him in Guitarist magazine last year - he's very modest and humble. And he plays a telecaster, which is a bonus for me.

Sad news! I saw Wilko and his band at Keitele Jazz (Finland) in summer 2011. They had incredible gig, then! I couldn't believe that it was (probably) the last time I saw him playing.

Dr. Feelgood was one of the first bands I really loved in the middle of the seventies!!

I wish all the best to him...
