caught the slade night on beeb 4 too, that channel alone is worth the licence fee.i know this song so well, but from the first note i knew it was a henny interpretation. quoit bostin.

My favourite Slade song, and love the slightly languid style of this.

The guitar solo's in place of the original violin parts was a nice touch too.

Excellent! I don't know the original. I'm only familiar with Slade Alive!, which I have on vinyl, and a few of their hit singles. I should listen to more of Slade's records. They were a great band.

Anyway, it's a cool song with a cool henwrench arrangement and performance. Luv it.

Us old codgers all clearly watch the same documentaries and agree that Slade are criminally underrated songwriters and an all-round top band, lol

A very fine choice of cover, his hennyness. It's almost like it was written by you... just a perfect fit. Love it to death. And that sudden ending - very cool indeed.

I don't know the original, but I really dig this...it does sound like it could be one of your own songs. Love that NY-ish solo, too.
