"Send in the Clowns" is a song by Stephen Sondheim from the 1973 musical A Little Night Music, Judy Collins' version charted in 1975 and 1977.

Well I've given it a go and decided not to use a clicker track, to ebb and flow with the lyrics  

This could probably do with someone else playing the guitar but hey ho - just about got it recorded tonight!

think instead that your version is simpler, but clever and deep, much more than usual

What very lovely comments thanks guys - I was thinking of Judy Dench's version when I sang this, which gives me shivers every time I hear it - although I always try to do my own thing. Could have done a whole lot better with it if I didn't have to concentrate on playing the guitar so hard, but it all adds to the charm as they say!
