Jim aka rotten head mentioned once that a song I had done had a vibe like this.
Mrs mac was sitting watching her soaps on the tv and I got the new line 6 48 keys out for the 1st time and started this.
All the keyboards and drums were all done using the keyboard and garage band ap,I then transferred it into my studio and added the guitar ,although there is no lead guitar on it I added a wee cheeky one at the end.
so apart from the vocals and the guitar its all played live from the new keyboard.
I thought I would post it to let my fellow songcrafters how the keyboard sounds.

Sounds pretty fabulous, Kenny.

Just to clarify, it's not the keyboard we're hearing; it's GarageBand. The keyboard doesn't actually make any sound. Instead, it just sends instructions to GarageBand to tell it which keys you've pressed, and GarageBand then generates the appropriate notes for those keys. Since you're a guitar player, you might be interested to know that you can do the same thing with your guitar. You can get a guitar synth such as the Roland GR-55, or a V-Guitar system such as the Roland VG-99. These units include a pitch-to-midi converter which analyzes the notes you play on your guitar and sends the appropriate midi instructions to GarageBand or any other sound generator that accepts midi. So your guitar can perform the same function as your keyboard controller.

Yeh of course it's like anything these days, although as you say ,it's GarageBand the sound comes from it really is no different from me using  say,,,my friends d50 and his proteus unit as I normally do.
You play a bum note, unfortunately so does that, the great thing for me is I have now got the facility to have piano, strings etc at my disposal and it sits very unassumingly on a little stand right in front of my studio,I can also sit in the living room with the headphones on and Create the basis of a tune as its very light and compact.
I also like the idea of the guitar synth but feel not really being a keyboard player as such ,I sometimes come up with runs and structures that I wouldn't normally have done on the guitar and it takes me to a different place, and that is the exciting art for me.
Ive got to say I also liked playing the drum patterns on it,it made it easier as you can sometimes loss the sensitivity tapping the screen.
I'm not going to say anything else on the subject of the wee keyboard as I feel I'm goin on and on about it lol ;D cheers for your input guys.

Nice sounds - are you using a Mac or an iPad/iPod for Garage Band? The synths on Garage Band are very good.
Great track.
