I like it! I agree that you, your vocals do need a wee bit of tweaking and I'm not crazy about the end. I like the rest though.

You know, it's funny, I think we need to trust our own instincts more often. For example, when I re-recorded this and posted it here, you told me the changes needed to happen quicker. Deep down I felt the same way, I even mentioned it to my girlfriend after she listened to it. She said it sounded fine, but to me I really felt certain parts dragged on to long. I felt this but, in a way, I didn't want to change it. Why?  because it was soooo much work. I'm too lazy or impatient.

I hope my last statement didn't come off to harsh James. I didn't mean to assume you were lazy. Not at all. I love the lyrics you wrote of this piece, it's what inspired me to finish it, and sometimes there is no easy way of saying, "i'm not crazy about the ending....try again". I just think it's a little redundant.

My last version of N.A.C. didn't work out, it was too long...you didn't like it, so I redid it. I guess thats all I'm trying to say.

no worries mate, i think this one is gonna take some time,  i think the changes at the end are too dramatic and it becomes a different song, so i found it very difficult to come up with anything. i still think we can make it, but i think we need to look at its structure, i think it needs  to be intro, verse ,chorus, mental bridge verse chorus mental fade out. and no longer than 3 minutes long.

Yea i see what you mean. I like the ending, but I can see what you mean about it becoming a different song, I can also see how it would throw you for a loop. I suppose i just like to add a lot of changes. I have always written instrumental pieces, I'm have to adjust to the idea of writing songs with lyrics in mind, it's new territory for me.

The more I listen to this the more I like it.

Perhaps we can get someone else's opinion.

the tune  was that the doorbell that has now become the song come inside   http://microrecorders.org/community/post-your-work/was-that-the-doorbell/0/ is more suited to a lyric due to its structure,  you wrote napoleon apartment complex a while ago but i think you are writing more lyric friendly tunes all the time, i think we are about up to 8 song collaborations, come inside being the most recent and nac one of the earliest, so i think you have adjusted writing your tunes with lyrics in mind very well. but what i love most about your music is the surprises you get either from a major change of direction or a subtle gradual groove change over the piece. i created a playlist on my mp3 player of the collaborations we have had, and it is all quirky individual independent just what i would choose to listen to. magic just keep em coming leif
