Sonuus introduced some interesting stuff at NAMM, including a Guitar-to-MIDI app for iPhone and iPad that can transmit MIDI wirelessly. Of course, it only works for single notes, not chords.

If you're interested in the Guitar-to-MIDI app, you can buy it today at the NAMM special price of only $1.99 US (£1.49). Tomorrow, it goes up to the regular price of $9.99.

Yeah, that looks interesting and the price seems to be pretty good. It's not available yet but Sweetwater is advertising it at $299.00.

In the UK, the advertised prices vary greatly:

dv247.com   £169.00

dolphin music   £ 199.99

Dawsons   £250.00

Behringer offers the iX16 mixer for the iPad, but it costs $1,000 and has no controls; just inputs and outputs. But it does have 16 inputs versus the Alesis's 4. Still, I think the Alesis is cooler and the price is right.

Here's a review of the Moog Sub Phatty which I mentioned on page 1 of this topic. If I had the money, I'd buy one. It looks like a great little synth.

Here's another new I/O dock for iPad users. This one's from Focusrite and costs $249.99.

http://global.focusrite.com/ipad-audio-interfaces/itrack-dock#overview

It looks pretty good. However, it lacks the standard MIDI connectors found on the Behringer iStudio and Alesis iO Dock, though it does have MIDI over USB. Also, I think it only works with newer iPads that have the Lightning connector. Then again, I think the Behringer iStudio and Alesis iO Dock only work with older iPads having the old 30-pin connector. So, if you have a newer iPad with the Lightning connector, then it looks like the Focusrite iTrack Dock is your only choice at the moment.

The iTrack Dock was just announced today (Jan 16, 2014), so it's probably not available yet.
