The fade in is perfect.

I don`t think i know this song or do I? Still trying to figure that out but doesn`t matter, You rocked it in full to me here. Excellent vocals and love the chorus guitar. I always love your productions. You work your 800 perfectly.

I don't know it either, but it sure sounds like a Pretenders song. I can picture Chrissie Hynde singing it. Really enjoyed listening.

According to Wikipedia, it was released in the States as the B side of "Middle of the Road". But, as far as I can tell, it didn't chart in North America. I checked my "Billboard Book of Top 40 Hits" by Joel Whitburn and "The CHUM Chart Book" by Ron Hall and had a quick look online but didn't find any indication of it charting in North America. So I guess it was mainly a hit in the U.K.

Slade's "Merry Xmas Everybody" doesn't seem to have charted in North America either, though I am quite familiar with that one.

... and I just confirmed on the Billboard website that neither of these songs ever charted in the US.

I know it. Great song from the Pretenders best album "Learning To Crawl". Every song on that album was hit worthy. I never paid much attention to singles and charts though.

Love how you've done it. Your vocal is superb and it compliments the gentle music perfectly with its ruggedness.

I've tuned the car radio in to QMFM, Vancouver's all Christmas music station (during December) and I've heard it a couple-three times this week. It's a classic in (western) Canada!

I remember this alright.
Great version, with a not easy to do vocal.
Chrissie has a very distinctive way of singing & you do a pretty good male version.
Great backing too ... Not sure I detected the bum notes ... But didn't try too hard as was enjoying it too much.

The only bad notes are the ones someone else plays.

Bravo, Burtog!

Excellent craftsmanship all around, and a thoroughly enjoyable listen.

Well done!
