I'm trying to put my wave files into sonar le. I'm totally lost. Would someone be willing to tell me how to do it?

Thanks,
Greg

Right-click on the track where you want the file to go and select Import Audio from the context menu.

drag and drops works too if you have enough screen real estate.

X2 will import flac files. that is quite nice.

lol now I feel pretty dumb lol thank you! :)

Nah, dumb is having to ask again and again and again....

And again.

You are welcome LESTG.

I can't remember when I found that out. I know its worked since Sonar 8.5. I started drag n drop for drum loops.

Also, you can now drag n drop a group of wav / mp3 / flac files and Sonar will politely put each into their own track.

With loops you can drag n drop into the approximate position on an existing track and if you have the "snap" turned on you to "measure" for instance, you can drag the loops into the order you want snapped onto the measure lines and quickly build a drum track.

I have figured out how to record through the BR800 as a control surface into sonar le. I go through the inputs 1-4. I have a question. I would like to use VST effects on my guitar in realtime. I mean as I am playing it so I know what it sounds like. All I have figured out how to do was add effects to the track and parts of the track.

Thanks
Greg

On each track, next to the Mute, Solo, and Record buttons (M S R), is a button that looks like this:

This is the Input Echo button. When it's on, you should be able to hear your guitar with the effect.

There is a similar button in the Control Bar's Mix module which will enable input monitoring on All tracks.

See: http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation/default.aspx?Doc=SONAR%20X2&Lang=EN&Req=ControlBar.06.html

If you experience unwanted echo or feedback loops when the Input Echo is on, see the following page:

Wow it worked once and then I closed Sonar LE and downloaded other VST's and forgot the folder I put them in. Now when I start up Sonar LE it says it does not recognize the BR800 :(
