Livin' on a Prayer - Bon Jovi

This is the first time I've actually enjoyed this song. I HATED this song when it was played on the radio every hour on the hour for a year and a half (or so it seemed.) But what you've done here is make a song I detested into something I not only appreciate but want to hear again. The guitar arrangement is great, I love the sparse picking, but it's your vocals and what you've done with the melody that really makes it good.

That's pretty much how I see this great performance as well. I was 17 when it came out, and I was well into Yes, Pink Floyd, Zep, ZZ Top, etc. and had no room for Bon Jovi. But I genuinely enjoyed this version, and think you knocked it out of the park!!

Thanks TC and Mark for giving it a listen, inspite of disliking the original - it's a huge compliment from you both. I was never into Bon Jovi either - although looking back on the old vids there's a certain appeal now

Nice one Haylie. Difficult to take a high octane number and turn it into an acoustic, but it really works rather well. Who'd a thunk!
