Christmas Wonder

A Christmas song I wrote this year about Christmas when I was growing up. I remember after Thanksgiving my Mom would get out her Christmas albums, they were always so brightly colored and festive and I would sit on the floor in front of the stereo, which was a big wooden piece of furniture, I would get up real close to the speakers which were right at my ear level, I guess this is where my love of loud music began, at least that is what I am blaming it on.

Christmas season was always filled with fun,
I remember waking up wild eyed
Christmas morning felt so good inside,
Those days have passed me by,
But those memories never fail to satisfy,
And Christmas always was enjoyed
All those times full of love and joy,

I miss the times when I was younger,
Days filled with Christmas wonder,
All the memories I treasure
Will be with me forever,

We couldn't wait for Christmas day,
Even now those memories won't go away,
Snow falling down on Christmas Eve,
Feel the magic in the air and believe,
In the middle of a snowstorm,

And all those feelings so deep inside,
I want to see them again with children's eyes,

Thanks for all the great comments, I have gotten much better at recording over the past couple years thanks in a large part to the people on here who always give outstanding advice and amazing tips to making the recording part of my songwriting so much easier and more rewarding.
