hey,

i was just curious to know if anybody knew exactly what all of the guitar effect patches are? a lot of them are obvious, such as 'SuperCln', which i am assuming is super clean. but other aren't so descriptive such as 'MOD JC' and 'SQR TR', which, to be honest, i have no clue about.

so is there a list of descriptions of the effect patches anywhere?

cheers,

steve.

I haven't seen a list, but you'll probably find that some of the names aren't very mysterious when you look at the patch details in Micro BR Patch Documenter. For example, here's the patch details for SQR TR:

Patch: GT09:SQR TR

Song: BigDance
Folder: SONG0000.BR0
Algorithm: COSM GTR AMP

Preamp: MATCH
  Volume: 70
  Bass: 55
  Treble: 65
  Presence: -10
  Master: 88

Speaker Sim: vo drv
  Mic Set: CENTER
  Mic Level: 100
  Dir Level: 0

Noise Suppressor: On
  Threshold: 40
  Release: 30

FX: Tremolo/Pan
  Mode: TRM-SQR
  Rate: 58
  Depth: 60

Delay: Off

Obviously, it gets its name from the fact that it features the TRM-SQR effect which, if you look it up in the manual, is the Tremolo with abruptly changing volume (like a SQuaRe wave). So, "SQR TR" = "Square Tremolo".

Looking at the details for MOD JC in Micro BR Patch Documenter shows that it uses the JC-120 amp model. I'm not sure about "MOD". Perhaps it means "Modern" or "Modified".

Some patches might be named after artists. For example, I would assume that "You Too" is meant to sound like Edge from U2. And I'd guess that "Like RT" might sound like Robin Trower.
