John Martyn was one of the finest writer of love songs and the reason I wanted to play guitar. It all his fault.

Very brave to take on John Martyn ... But I'd call this a score draw & that's no mean feat, 'cause the man was a genius.

Lovely singing & playing, nice simple recording too.

That's some fine, fine playing and a very smooth vocal, chunk. I don't know John Martyn's songs, but it reminded me a bit of Bill Fay, who I love.

Hi Bluesberry. thanks . I used a Takemine guitar and a Shure sm57 microphone put through a Tascam 4 track to get a mix between the guitar and vocal and just played live straight to cd.

Cheers Cuthbert. I haven't heard of Bill Fay. I'll have to check him out.
