Another one to add to the Clere Water Blues project!

Hook - great lyrics and fantastic vox - I love what you've done with this one. A million thank you's for bringing my vague musical musings and turning them into proper songs :-)

Some notes on the production for this.

Guitar was the PRS, lead and left channel via the 8W Peavey Valve King and Fulltone, right hand was COSM
Drum Loops were betamonkeyloops
I spend some time EQ'ing. I cut of much of the upper freq. on the bass and compressed it as far as I could. I think that give it the space.
VOX have a lot of chorus and some compression - and eq'd up the bass and mids.

Blue Moon Shadow (lyrics by Hook)

You know it comes in waves & it moves mighty fast
I can't predict how long it might last
This flood of irrationality
A turning tide that threatens my
Small hint of stability

If you look into my eyes you'll see
The shadow of a blue moon over me
Cast upon my very soul
Lost in the darkness of a blue moon shadow

If you follow my train of thought
You'll see my efforts are all for naught
I can't go on, I have plateaued
Lost in the darkness of a blue moon shadow

I see a vision & it seems so clear
A vein, some pain, pills & beer
A high to aspire but it burns like fire & logic melts & leaves these welts
As I gather wood to build my pyre

Thanks all for the kind comments. Slowly but surely I am learning how to get better sounds and 'how to record', one of the big advantages of being on this site, and learning from others.

There clere water blues project is moving along nicely :-)

Well done bruno and hook! The guitars sound real good as does hook's fine vox and lyric. I like the low harmony vox added to the last chorus...nice work guys! I'm gonna have to listen to the rest of tracks in this series.
