Holding out for a hero (Ella Mae Bowen)

Well I was playing this tonight, so I thought I might as well capture it, live from the dining room, BR real close to the guitar's sound hole, internal mics - the begining's a bit hesitant on the guitar but it all adds to the charm  

"Holding Out for a Hero" is a song written by Jim Steinman and Dean Pitchford, originally recorded by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler. It was released in 1984 on the soundtrack to the film Footloose.

Ella Mae Bowen took the lyrics to this classic and rewrote the melody, to stunning effect, and the song was used in the remake of Footloose (a remake for a remake). My version is 'inspired' by her version in that I've taken the lyrics and also written my own melody - not quite so stunning but hey!

Oh thanks boys, I was expecting this one to go out for a duck so I'm delighted to get your feedback. Just to be crystal clear, I wrote the melody and used the existing lyrics and structure of the song. You are all heros, by the way x
