Just a great song...in any style (or time signature?) Recorded live. Guitar and voice.

When I play this one as a DJ, I always get a woody when the chorus comes in. Pure dance floor excitement.

Thanks for listening,

Sandy.

Fantastic, a real cool whimsical and delicate feel to it.

Hope your guitar stayed on your lap during the chorus  :o

According to Wikipedia, "Don't Leave Me This Way" by Tina Turner is a different song which was written by Paul Barry, Mark Taylor, and Brian Rawling for her 1999 studio album "Twenty Four Seven". The disco hit written by Kenneth Gamble, Leon Huff, and Cary Gilbert was originally released by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes (with Teddy Pendergrass on lead vocals) on their 1975 album "Wake Up Everybody". Thelma Houston's 1976 cover was a #1 hit.

I got my info from Wikipedia also. Obviously it's a little confusing...

Looks like she did both songs but the latter was a studio recording she released. The former she's covering live:

You sure Ike didn`t write this for her?  :( That was a terrible joke!

Never think Wikipedia is always the truth. It`s like the news. I found many lies and misconceptions on there before.

Anyways great performance as usual Grit!! Your recordings sound so awesome to me.

Cool Gritty version...really dig the dynamics on this. It's kinda dirgey...and I like it!

Intimate and delicate performance of a disco song...
Love the chords (with some alterations?) you use on the debut of the song...
