It builds up. Starts like a bluesy dirge. The vocals come in – and they're raw and great. But what finally grabs me and holds me is the backwards effect on the guitar, when it gets laid on thick. There's a quality to how you use that effect that makes this story vivid: this is not healthy; this is loneliness seeking momentary relief – again. But this time the depth of the pain leaves a mark.
