Really? I don't remember any Sabbath sounds as cool as the chords/tempo/progression in this. Think I'll have to check into King Crimson (I do not believe I have ever heard anything from them).
I listen to this and have so many thoughts coming to me, would you mind if I attempted a kind of cover of this improv at some point?? If so it is no problem, but I would really love to try it.

Wichita, thanks I am checking out a video of "larks tongues in aspic" now, really like the odd time signatures which I have been trying to work with more lately.

Dragonshade, have at it. Everything in this piece from the drum patterns to the flatted 5ths on the last riff and bass lines was pretty much what I learned from Black Sabbath. If you check out some of the King Crimson material I would reccomend this one:

The track Witchita mentioned is also awesome, a lot more abstract/experimental though.

But yeah, I did everything with the BR instruments direct drums through internal mic. I am goig to work on something tonight and try mic-ing the guitars while playing through GUitar Rig on my computer and see how that goes.

DARK! Absolutely brilliant. Reminds me of Alice Cooper. This really was fantastic.

Deeeaaaammmmmnnnn!  Sounds great!  I may have a go at recording my drum arrangements acoustically.  I have a set in my bedroom, so I suppose it's just a matter of time!
Cheers!

I agree with Witchita, very King Crimson[ish] sounding.
I love that effect that you used on your lead guitar on the 2nd
half of this piece!
