I can't believe how good the drums sound recorded on that little mic!

Yeah the built in mic is not bad. The drums and cymbals I used on this are junk but the room and placement of the mic is workable.

Greeny

This is f*cking awesome. The live drums work brilliantly - especially when you cut loose into that bluesy rock groove. This is a brilliantly put together piece of work - sounds like a LOT of effort has gone into this, and all worth it. Did you play everything on this? That's serious multi-talent going on right there.

Flash Harry

this is a really good track. I like the dark feel to it, it's played really well and it works as a complete piece.

Fantastic bit of music. I really like it.

Wow! Agree with Greeny and Flash. This is great, the drums work well and it's a great track. Your playing is impressive. Reminded me a bit of King Crimson in places. Well done indeed.

I can't even believe how MUCH I like this!

Great way to put it Flash Harry... the "dark feel" of this just oozes outta the headphones, wow.

I'm hooked.

Thanks for all the feedback. I actually have a sony stereo condensor mic but can't seem to find it. I have been working a lot with a band for a tour coming up this year learning all their songs and needed a break from that so just did this all the other night with a bottle of absinth... one of the great things about the micro br, no hassle to set up drum mics, just hit record and start playing. Whenever I get the time, I will probably export all the tracks to Sonar and try mixing it there... yet another great option to have with the MicroBR, I remember the old analog 4-track days where once you bounce tracks, it's pretty much set in stone.

I didn't really put much work into it as it was more or less just improv, I recorded the drums with the metronome playing back, threw together a couple guitar riffs and then a bass line over it.

Funny someone mentioned King Crimson, for some reason I never got into them until the last couple weeks I have been taking some lessons on playing in odd time signatures and was suggested to check out King Crimson again, I got a copy of "in the court" and have had the first track stuck in my head since. Personally though, the riff structures etc on the track are I think more Black Sabbath inspired.
