Very nice production and well covered song. am i correct in thinking
this group was originally from SAN FRANCISCO. cause i recall seeing
them in person quite a bit at the FILMORE WEST in the height ashbury
days. lo. but great cover ur own stamp liked it a bunch NEIL.!

Hi Neil, thanks for your comments  :). The Velvet Underground were very much a New York band and were heavily associated with Andy Warhol in the early days and they toured the Exploding Plastic Inevitable then, however, they played mainly in New York but most people didn't understand/like them at that time. They did tour in 1969 as well and I believe they played in San Francisco; they were defiantly not part of the hippie culture though, far from it, a lot of their music covered very dark topics, the kind of things which were common in novels but not typical of pop music. If you see them in those days that would be very cool indeed!

Although few people got into the VU when they were making music, many people picked up on them after the event. They have influenced countless bands/artists since then.

but I had Lou Reed Live back in the day ... same guys?
