Had a go at some Ozzy - No More Tears. I haven't practised this piece for a while so forgive me. It's also not the complete song. Intro, verse and chorus.

This is also my first upload!

All done with the BOSS and one guitar. Epi Les Paul with a Seymour Duncan in the bridge. Can't remember which model though. I think the patch I used was 39 Metalld or something. I also edited it.

Thanks.

I'm just after comments on my tone and the recording really.

i'm fairly new to the MBR world, but i'll offer my opinion.

i think your tone for metal is really on the mark. also, i would leave out the metronome. you wouldn't have the bell to distract the attention from your playing while listening. maybe put in a metal drum track.

still a great first post.

This sounds great - excellent recording. I'm no metal-head but you got a really meaty sound here. But please get rid of the metronome! Just put some simple drums over it, it will sound much better. Perhaps one of the bass players could add some bass?

Cheers,

Thanks for your input.

I have acquired the backing track so I may upload a new version soon.

Cool Russ... Metal-nut here, love to see this. How about some Randy Rhoads Ozzy????

I like the recording, though I am a big fan of multiple guitars on the MBR to really go heavy. Pretty much everything I've done is at least 2 or 3 to give some serious "heft". Of course I know Ozzy uses only one, but still. I have one (Until it sleeps, Metallica cover) in the general section under "finger sliding" that is only one guitar (it is unfinished), and it is no way near as heavy as the others I have done.

I believe I'm using a patch off the one you mentioned (with mods), but I'll vary that some to a give a slight difference between the multiple guitars.

Though I love SD pickups, for me there is nothing like active EMG's for that super heavy sound. I'm runnning 85's.

Keep posting the metal dude.

I'm attaching a short little clip of one I'm working to give you and idea of what I mean. (hope you don't mind) You'll hear one guitar, then 2, then 3. Really illustrated what I mean.

AWESOME first post.
