LYRICS:

Slowly spinning on the carosel
I know you get the feeling just as well
It lays a universe of retail
It lies in every finite detail
Behind the shadows and the lip-stick
Behind the make up that you wear thick
You may not scream enough to fake it
But you can't see what you can't see

The walls of change
Will come a tumbling down
You'll find them all around
And everything will be alright
The city sleeps beneath the neon light
She'll never die (the city sleeps beneath the neon light...)

Placing free bets beneath two arches
Above our heads and out of luck
Consumer debts are here to part us
But we can't see what we won't see
The station's full of pretty people
Victoria to Waterloo
Are they mainstream enough to take it
When they can't see what they can't see?

Do halls of fame have space to hang one more frame?
Does it matter to you
For everyone to be alright?
The city sleeps beneath the neon light
She'll never die...
(The city sleeps beneath the neon light..)

The rules have changed
They've come a tumbling down
Find them all around
Everyone will be alright
As we sleep beneath the neon sign
Stay out of sight!

Slowly spinning on the carousel...

Tangled Wires

Another wonderfully crafted tune.

Always wonder what your songs would sound like with a big production, but I think that they work so well in the man and guitar form that I would maybe not be tempted to add anything more. Your style is totally suited to this stripped down bare recording.

Nice one!

Hey thanks guy

@tangled... We will find out soon ;) Spent today in my local studio doing some better quality demos, whilst listening back, the producer grabbed his bass and wow! opened up all of the stringed melodies and stuff, not to mention my love of crunchy guitars. I just need tofind the right people as i intend to gig it in 2013.... so many things to do!

@hook, hey thanks mate, wasn't sure how that riff would carry through, no doubt helped by the dirty amount of compresion i applied to this mix!! finding my fingers again after all that time off :)

I absolutely loved this! Great melody over very cool progression! Would love to hear with the added bass and crunchy guitars you mentioned! ;)

Daniel, you are a dynamite songwriter hands down!! And like everyone else, I absolutely love the tune. Your voice has an Al Stewart likeness, maybe I've said it before but I love it, very cool!

Peace, keep 'em coming!
