This is a beautiful and atmospheric song Jim, on my third listen now.

Love the sound of your guitar here, did you run it through one of the Micro BR effects?

i recorded the guitars through the onboard mic, using the fornylon effect tweaked with noise suppression and tap delay turned on and recorded to two tracks for stereo effect then ramped the reverb up to 100. used three stereo guitar takes to 6 tracks. i need a br80 so i dont need to bounce so much.   ;D ;D ;D

Sounds superb, have made a note to try that myself.

We must be a dying breed on here still recording on our old Micro BR's ;D

What a great guitar sound you've layered here, so thick & full, yet distant sounding. Great lyrics/vocals, I dig brother!
Rock on!

listening to first post, is awful noisy hissy etc, so as an experiment i remixed the song but this time without the reverb.

i think i use reverb to hide my inadequacies on the ole guitar.

this mix is certainly cleaner but not sure if it has lost some of the ambience that first post has, apart from the reverb, and plus you can hear all the bum notes a lot easier now too.

so how do they compare.

I like the latest and cleanest version. It is more open and seems closer.

Like we are in the same room.

Great stuff, beautiful love song, great vox as ever, in my opinion the second mix is much better, much warmer which suits the subject and song much better, enjoyed this lots.

I think the second one's better, seems more intimate!
