Due to the influence of this forum, I have dug out my flamenco guitar, pratised for a few minutes on something I was taught years ago and then went in guns blazing - I'm out of time and all over the place but it should make you chortle a bit. In some places, it comes together but ropey is sometimes a positive quality in flamenco. I'll do some more if anyone likes this....

Yes that is super fine.  I played around with this style on my classical guitar this weekend, but I could never begin to play like this.  Super fine.

Well... what can I say about that?!

I've waited for some flamenco and never thought we'd get any.

Jackofall... this is my favourite thing I have EVER heard on this forum. And no, I'm not drunk! I'm in awe of your versatility and modesty, and of course your musical skill. This is AWESOME.

I'd love to do a flamenco-tinged collaboration if you're ever up for anything like that. But maybe leave it a couple of weeks - i think I'm about to burn out  :D

You have to be one of the most versitile musicians on this site. You play everything.  Ukelele, Ukelele Punk Rock and now this. Beside all the rest you have done.  Hats off to you!! ;D

Anything to remind me of Vicky Cristina Barcelona. Keep'm coming. This was really cool.

Thanks so much! I used to play a lot of flamenco. I had lessons from Juan Martin in the 70's (God, I'm an old git!). I eventually got a bit bored with it. It's a bit like heavy metal - you can get really into it for a while and then your mind switches off. That's why I took up classical guitar. Even this has something missing if you want to 'express yourself'. At this age (48), I'm learning jazz guitar and rock with a really amazing player who seems to know everything. Having the BMR makes me even more interested in what the electric guitar can do and what a great instrument it is for really expressing yourself. I originally went to this guy for banjo lesson as I just love bluegrass! - the music of pure joy... I just can't stick to one thing, there's so much that's interesting in music. That's why I'm a jack of all trades - -and the urge to buy a Turkish Ud is almost overwhelming!!!

It's another day off due to the snow, so I'm going to record some more flamenco. I really appreciate the nice comments and the fact that people listen which makes making music so worthwhile.
