Seem to be a very bluesy album!!!

First double studio album of solo career of Mark Knopfler; just one double live with Dire Straits (the legendary Alchemy)

Among the musicians involved in the recording are Guy Fletcher, Richard Bennett, Glenn Worf, Paul Franklin, Ian Thomas (drums), Jim Cox, keyboards, Phil Cunningham, Mike McGoldrick and John McCusker.

oldrottenhead loves Dire Straits / Mark Knopfler!!!  

It's in our list of festival suggestions, along with the 48 other suggestions (that's just in the Artists/Covers category). Since we only select 8 choices for each vote, it's hard to say whether it will ever get selected. Probably not, I think, because we keep getting new suggestions too.

Maybe what we'll do is have another VarietyFest like we had in Jan/Feb and make Dire Straits / Mark Knopfler one of the six artists to be covered.
