Yip - those monsters from Glasgow - GUN. Broke up in 1997 - never thought I ever hear a new album of theirs. Oh happy days! It was (and still is) why this band were never huge, they wrote some absolute cracking songs!

Pretty cool band. But for some reason I couldn't help thinking of this clip from "Uncle Buck". ;D

I first heard Gun in the late 80's/early 90's in a record shop in Bournemouth - I loved it instantly, asked what it was and bought the LP there and then. I'd never done that before. My girls have grown up listening to Gun involuntarily all their lives - if I put a Gun song on, they look quizzically at me and say I know this .... MMMwahhhhahahahah!

This is the song I heard, and it still gets me - this is a song of bad times - it still rings true today ...
Incidentally, the singer back then (Mark Rankin) is the cousin of the Texas lead singer

I saw them in 1989 supporting Simple Minds at Wembley Stadium. Texas were the main support.

Their album Swagger is still one of my favourites.  Good News !
