After posting loads of stuff here, I really feel like you lot are my friends - so I'm going to make myself really vulnerable and post this 'serious' song that I wrote about my mum who died in 2006. These are the words. (This is just a bit of therapy really. I hope you like it.)

I can't believe I'll never see you again

Feels like I could just pick up the phone
We haven't spoken for such a long while
It's just as if you'd still be there at home
And I want to drop by, want to make you laugh and smile

And I can't believe, I'll never see you again
So much to say, so many things to tell you
And I can't believe, I'll never see you again
So much you've done, so many things to live for

I'll not forget the love you gave me
For the rest of my years
And I'll still buy you flowers
And keep them growing with my tears

Chorus

You've taken that journey, into eternity
Left me behind to wonder what it's all for
With memories fading from everyone around me
Coming to terms with it and closing the door
But I won't forget you, I'll keep this pain inside me
Never let it go, never 'move on'
'Cos I don't know where I'm going
And I don't know where you've gone

I still talk to you inside my mind
I hear your voice and I see your face
I'm so sorry for the times I made you cry
Can you shine your light now,
- in this dark and empty place?

Chorus

damn bro, some sad song this is... alot of soul
i can't help but wonder what it would sound like with a 'main' solo!

' we haven't spoken ' man your voice sounds awsome on that part!

Jackofall, you slay me with this one.  Beautiful.  Your voice sounds just like Roger Waters to my ears with all the feeling he can put in.  In fact this could be the lost track from the Wall.  I love this so much it hurts  ;).  Thanks.  This is my favorite song on here at the moment.  Your production is perfect.  I am putting this one in my IPod.  I will listen to this many times, thanks.

Simply wonderful, completely beautiful.

This brings deep emotion, and helps those of us who share this same pain with you.

Thank you for that my friend.

jackofall, serious reply by me. Fine number here with lots of feeling. Often such unwanted events in life spawn great creativity. You can rest assured knowing your mother has been listening to this song since you put pen on paper and pick in hand. Glad you decided to post.

Top Notch
A superb display of the emotion we all feel when we lose
our loved ones...
I must admit I rolled a tear or two back while listening.
Sorry for your loss....
But congrats on one of the finest songs here.
