"Little White Lies"

What you may read
Between my lines
Might mean anything to you
The words they play
With imagery
And fade to grey
Or turn to blue
They're only words
The only say
What comes to my mind
My thoughts today
Their meanings change
As times pass by
One moment truth
And then little white lies
I can't control
Or navigate
I'm swept along
By chance and fate
Don't take to heart
What i might say
They're only words
Don't turn away
They're only words
The only say
What comes to my mind
My thoughts today
Their meanings change
As times pass by
One moment truth
And then little white lies

Wow... this is amazing!  So ambient!  I was hooked right from the very first microsecond of the fade-in.

Nice!

Love it. Has a brilliant 80's vibe - very Tears for Fears (which I mean as a compliment!). Beautiful balance on the mix and arrangement, and performances of real quality. Mighty fine!

when damian sent this i immediately stuck it on my mbr, and started blabbig over it to see what would come, starting singing in a bryan ferry type voice in goobledygook at first till snatches and phrases came. pen in hand but record off thankfully. but i was singing over every part.

that is a problem i often find, my lack of restraint means i want to sing all the way through a song. but i managed to restrain myself, cos when i'm not singing there is some fabulous music happening.

muchos gracias damian.

Thank you so much for the kind words and the compliment Tim.  I saw Tears for Fears live in my sweet teen in 1990 when they were here in Argentina, they played a few songs because a heavy electric storm ended the show.

While I made the music came to me some distant influences like: Edwyn Collins - A Girl Like You, Sinead O' Connor - You Made Me The Thief Of Your Heart, Radiohead - Creep, Blur, The Longhair Tigers - Scorned lol!  and Who knows how many more.. then, when Jim does his part, the magic takes all to another dimension, it´s Amazing.
