Quote from: dobrodaddy on August 22, 2012, 06:50:15 AMSWEET harmonies Haylie!  Nice tone on the yamaha too.  I hear a bowed bass or cello to fill in the lower register.  Nicely done!  DD

The cello would be really cool Double D - welcome back, I hope everything's been ok - you've been missed.

Quote from: dragonshade on August 22, 2012, 06:52:49 AMBTW Haylie... my 13 yr old daughter really likes this also (so you know it's solid lol)... if it can pass the teenage girl, Katy Perry fan test... ;)

Thanks Ray that's really good to know - I'm definately in the embarrassing mum category with my kids!

Thanks Daniel - you've been a big influence on me, I love the way you just get on with it and that's exactly what I did here. I'm surprised so many people have commented, I really didn't think anyone would be interested in this!

Haylie, this is pretty darned nice.

You could have done this acappella and it still would sound great.

Well done!

Right next to my mashed potatoes.

Thanks Speedy - the harmonies were an afterthought (I hate harmonising with myself!)

Nooooo! Who better to harmonize with than yourself?
You always know what you are going to do. Before you do it.

It's like deja vu all over again.

At least I blend well and don't have to match someone else's phrasing!

Matching phrasing can be a real pain can't it!? Your voice works very well with the harmonies.

seen that beatles clip, where they get the words wrong...

"I'm in love with me and I feel fine"

I cant seem to find a link, but it's out there!

I used to be in a duo with a man who had very different phrasing to me - I did all the harmonies and used to 'ooooo' a lot (the lazy way to match-up)
