Here's my version of I Will Survive, loosely based on Jill Souble's version. My husband says this doesn't suit me, not that I'm planning on singing it anywhere so it doesn't really matter anyways. There is a bum note on the geetar in the middle (surely not I hear you cry!) but it all adds to the charm (I don't sound anything like her btw and am not trying to)

It's recorded simultaneously with the internal mics and I haven't done anything with it because I liked it the way it was/is.

I disagree...I think you have the perfect voice for this tune. I love this tune and my fave version is Cake.

You get a great live sound by the way. Love the br-80 for the live stuff.... Awesome!!

I prefer this a hundred times over the original! I think the slightly-mournful style is a better fit with the bitterness of the lyric, and you sing and play it extremely well to my ears. Mighty fine work.
