Hi, I'm Auroran. Found this site whilst searching for info on the BR 800 (which I'll be getting soon).

Me: Pro musician and orchestrator. My main interest in the BR 800 is location recording, I've got a nice DAW rig at home. Also looking forward to a bit of nostalgia since I started on ye olde Portastudio back in the 1600s and have been computer for 20 years. I spend many hours staring at Sibelius software and looking forward to some time away from the computer.  Lots of good info here and it seems like a nice bunch of folks. Cheers.

Thanks. I'm waiting til September 1 to see if Roland has any additional offerings. I would love a BR-800 version 2 with phantom power on 2 channels and a digital in.
