Just noticed that cakewalk will be releasing SONAR X2 this fall.

What's really interesting about this to me is that it includes a version of Roland's R-Mix.

I imagine that future BRs will include SONAR X2 LE. I wonder if the LE version will include R-Mix too? That would be great if it does.

X2 is now at large...though somewhat buggy as yet.

I'm waiting until I have a computer that can handle it. (I'm still on XP)
And letting the others debug it first. (You can recognize the pioneers by the arrows in their backs.)

Sonar X3 is now doing the rounds...very good reports too.

Sounds great but you need a Windows 7 machine min.
X3 upgrade     = 150
New machine = 1200?
Misc hardware peripherals necessitated by Win 7=500?
Updated plugs due to 64 bit= 500?
Number of hours of reinstalling all programs 24?
Number of hours learning differences in programs 24-36?
Loss of useful existing functions. Unknown.
It all seems a bit steep to consider at my age (68).
I just might be buried with my XP
